In 2009, the NCCHPP and the population health team of Edmonton's regional health authority (Capital Health) organized a workshop on health inequalities resulting from transportation and related policies. This one-day workshop, held in Edmonton, brought together representatives from the NCCHPP, Capital Health, traffic engineers, urban planners, academics and members of non-profit organizations from Edmonton and other Albertan cities. .The purpose of the day was to focus on public policies that could mitigate health inequalities produced by transportation and transportation-related policies. You will find below the 2 presentations that were used by François Gagnon to guide this workshop as well as a summary of the discussions that took place during the meeting.
